Shannon became a Doula in 2005, first working for a hospital doula program and attending to private clients.  She lived in Germany for 3.5 years where she volunteered as a childbirth educator on Patch Barracks, Stuttgart Army Garrison, and was president of the International Women's Club of Stuttgart and developed a passion for the connection of the motherhood experience across cultures, and a respect for differences.  Shannon became a CLC in 2010, a Certified Lamaze Educator in 2013, and an Evidence Based® Birth Instructor in 2015.  She received her 200hr RYT in 2014, and teaches prenatal yoga in Edwardsville, where she lives with her high school sweetheart and 4 children.  Shannon works as a doula and educator across the greater St. Louis metro region, and has a passion for clients with unique challenges, lifestyles and cultures, and high risk pregnancies.

Alisa is a Registered Nurse, Lactation Consultant and Educator who has a passion for helping mothers accomplish the goal of providing human milk to their babies in whatever way works for them.  She believes in getting to know families and their unique challenges to new parenthood, and has a passion for building bridges among community resources for new and growing families.  As a Registered Nurse, she has been working with mothers, babies and families, and training nurses for over 30 years in both the hospital and community setting.  Alisa's areas of expertise are lactation, education, obstetric nursing and staff development.  She lives in the Edwardsville area with her husband.  Alisa's passion for evidence based care has grown in raising two amazing daughters to adulthood who may choose to have families of their own someday.
